Breath awareness and ease
Learn to notice rhythm, effort, pauses, posture, and where the breath feels difficult to sense without forcing a larger breath.
Private Pranayama & Breathwork · Maitland, Florida + Virtual
Private pranayama and breathwork sessions teach you to notice, organize, and use your breathing with greater skill. Begin with simple breath awareness, deepen an established practice, or learn techniques you can return to when you need steadiness, focus, energy, or a different relationship with effort.
The goal is not the biggest breath.
It is a breath you can feel, understand, and use.
What pranayama and breathwork mean here
Pranayama is the yogic study and regulation of breath. Breathwork is a broader term for intentional breathing practices. Private instruction begins with your natural breathing pattern, experience, goals, and health considerations before a technique is selected.
What private sessions may support
Sessions may help you build awareness, find steadier breathing, support focus or rest, or develop a more traditional pranayama practice with individualized guidance.
Learn to notice rhythm, effort, pauses, posture, and where the breath feels difficult to sense without forcing a larger breath.
Practice simple breathing tools that may support meditation, sleep preparation, demanding days, and a calmer relationship with effort.
Refine technique, pacing, alternate-nostril practices, ratios, sound, and the relationship between breath, attention, and movement.
What a session may include
You do not need to know which breathing exercise you need before you arrive. Krista will begin with what you notice, what you want to change, and how your body responds. From there, the practice can remain simple or become more structured over time.
Breath Awareness + MechanicsNotice rhythm, effort, posture, and what interrupts or supports the breath.
Slow Breathing + Extended ExhalationExplore cadence and exhalation without turning the practice into another performance.
Traditional Pranayama PracticesLearn alternate-nostril breathing, sound, ratios, and related techniques progressively.
Pauses + RetentionIntroduced only when appropriate for your experience, goals, and health considerations.
What happens in a session?
Share your goals, previous experience, current breathing concerns, yoga practice, and relevant health considerations.
Krista notices rhythm, ease, effort, posture, pauses, and what changes when you bring attention to the breath.
Learn one or two appropriate techniques and leave with a manageable practice or clear next step to repeat between appointments.
Practice should be appropriate—not extreme
Breathwork and pranayama are educational practices, not medical diagnosis or treatment. Tell Krista about pregnancy, medical restrictions, cardiovascular or respiratory concerns, recent surgery, dizziness, panic responses, or anything else that may affect how you breathe. Forceful practices and breath retention are not appropriate for everyone, and your session can remain entirely gentle and non-retentive.
